Privacy policy

Oulim (“the app”) is a media player made by RAUN WORKS. The app runs no servers of ours and never sends videos, watch history or account information to us. This page lists everything the app and this website handle.
1. What we don’t collect
- The app has no accounts or login. It never asks for your name, email or phone number.
- We don’t add usage statistics, analytics or ad-tracking tools (except the ads described in section 4).
- Video files, watch history and library lists are never sent to us.
2. What stays on your device
- Watch history, resume points, favorites, library organization and settings are stored on that device only and are removed when you uninstall the app.
- NAS addresses, user names and passwords are kept only in the device’s secure storage (Android Keystore, iOS Keychain, or your desktop OS credential store).
- Connections between your phone and Oulim for desktop (your PC) are made directly between devices you approved, and never pass through our servers.
3. Problem reports — only when you send them
- Only when you write a report in Settings › About & Pro › Report a problem and tap “Send” does the app send your text and the attachments you chose (app version, OS, device model, recent app log, codec info of what was playing).
- Before sending, the app hides details such as IP addresses, server and NAS names, user names, file paths and emails, and the receiving server (Cloudflare Workers) hides them once more.
- Reports become issues in a private GitHub repository only the developers can see. The receiving server doesn’t store reports. Long-lived device identifiers (advertising ID, device ID and so on) are never sent.
- To have a report deleted, contact us as described below.
4. Ads — only on free phones and tablets, only when you choose
- On the free Android phone and tablet app, a Google AdMob rewarded ad is loaded only when you choose “Watch an ad to play” to open NAS videos or advanced audio. There are no interstitial or banner ads while you use the app.
- Google may then process device data and advertising identifiers to show the ad. In some regions, a consent form (Google UMP) appears first. Google’s policies apply: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
- The time unlocked by an ad is recorded only on your device. TV, desktop and Pro have no ads.
5. Payments
- Pro purchases and refunds are handled by Google Play and the App Store. We never receive payment details. When a registered PC inherits Pro, your phone passes the store-signed purchase proof directly to that PC only.
6. Movie info and update checks
- To fetch posters and plots, the app asks TVmaze — and TMDB or OMDb if you entered your own key — directly using the title and year. Those services can see your device’s IP address.
- About once a day, the app reads public files on this website (policy.json and latest.json) for policy values and new versions. No device information or identifiers are attached.
7. This website
- This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To choose a language on the front page, it looks at your country (provided by Cloudflare) and your browser language, but doesn’t store them.
- The only cookie is oulim_lang, which remembers the language you picked; your theme choice is stored only in your browser. There are no analytics or advertising cookies. Cloudflare may keep access logs to operate its service.
8. Children
- The app is not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect children’s personal information.
9. Changes and contact
- If this policy changes, we’ll post the update on this page with its date.
- A contact email address is on the way and will be listed here. Operated by RAUN WORKS.
